TASK 6: Recreate a famous artwork Check out what the Getty Museum posted over the weekend! @GettyMuseum We challenge you to recreate a work of art with objects (and people). Choose your favorite artwork Find three things lying around your house Recreate the artwork with those items Share with us. Check out what other people have done: https://twitter.com/GettyMuseum/status/1242845952974544896 Task 5: The Mystery Box Sculpture Challenge Ask somebody (parent, sibling, neighbor) to fill a bag or box with debris from the house: things like paper clips, string, egg cartons, bottlecaps, old CDs, paper scraps, cardboard, sticks and rocks, whatever you can find. Don’t look at what they’re putting in it! It’s a surprise! While they are doing this, go find your hot glue, white glue, tape, or stapler. Try to remember some of the non-sticky attachment techniques we learned, like slots, tabs, inserts, or cutting feet. Your challenge is to make something out of some or all of the materials in the box. If you need more of an explanation, check out this link about a similar project: https://tinkerlab.com/recycled-art-sculpture-mystery-box-challenge/

Task 4: Drawing Tic Tac Toe. Choose your space. Make your drawing to claim it. Then it's the next person's turn to claim a space by drawing. Task 3: Exquisite Corpse: This is a game invented by the Surrealists in the 1920’s. The first person starts a drawing, but then folds it down, l eaving lines to connect to for the next person to come in and draw more. You can find instructions here: https://tampabay.aiga.org/diy-how-to-exquisite-corpse/ Here’s a variation you can play with story writing: https://readwrite.com/2011/02/21/exquisite_corpse
Task 1: A Drawing Prompt
Below is a word written in purple. It may have different meanings to different people. Find a scrap of paper, a drawing utensil (pencil, pen, marker, anything is fine). Think about what images the word makes you think of, and draw it. Add as many details as you can think of. RING |
